Coffee with Community Leaders

Coffee with Community Leaders is a fun way to get to know your elected officials and neighbors. Learn about the role that your elected officials play in the community and how you can collaborate with them to support positive impact in your neighborhood.  Enjoy a delicious cup of coffee, pan dulce (sweet bread), great conversations and games!  

Join us on Tuesday, May 27, 2024 from 6-7:30PM  for coffee with Milwaukee Alderwoman District 8, JoCasta Zamarripa at VIA CDC (3524 W National Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215).

JoCasta’s public service career began in 2010 when she made history by becoming the first Latina elected to the Wisconsin State Legislature. She served in the Legislature for five terms before making history once again in 2020 by becoming the first Latina and the first openly LGBTQ member of Milwaukee’s Common Council. She looks forward to advocating for her constituents on Milwaukee’s near south side. Her priorities include fighting for equality for all people, supporting our public schools, creating family supporting, living wage jobs, and keeping our community safe.
